As of this Sunday you will pick up an hour of golf time; move your clocks forward either late Saturday night or Sunday. Spring is here!
PALM BEACH GARDENS, FLA - Walking off the second tee Sunday, Rory Sabbatini veered left and stopped, peering toward a patch of three-foot grass and the lake behind it.
“Is that a Gator?” he asked. While Sabbatini’s five-stroke lead shrunk to one and there was lightning and storms he still managed to hold on and win.

ARE YOU FRUSTRATED BY YOUR GAME?
If so, please read this…GRAND LAKE GOLF SCHOOL is now the official “Fitter” for www.fitchip.com in this area. This is a new fitting system in which we can measure instantaneously if you have the right frequency shafts in your clubs. The inventor and developer proved to me that 60 percent of all golfers are playing with the wrong shaft frequency. Simplified, this just means you either get the clubface square back to the ball naturally or by force. Go to www.fitchip.com. Naturally is of course best. We offer a fitting and swing lesson for $50. If you replace and order your shafts at $45 each including grip, we credit the $50 to your purchase. Or, ask us about our demo plan. Call Steve at 918-257-4967.
GOLF TIP of the WEEK
A great putting drill is to take your putter back a consistent distance and then stop and hold it there. Make your putt from there instead of starting at the ball. This will help you get a feel of your putt. Most amateur golfers take the putter head back different distances every time. Try not to add any energy.

GOLF JOKE OF THE WEEK
(from my friend Dan Kitowski over at Patricia Island Golf Club)
Three retirees, each with a little hearing loss, were playing golf one fine day.
One remarked to the other. “Windy, isn’t it?”
“No”, the second man replied, “It’s Thursday.”
And the third man chimed in, “So am I. Let’s have a beer.”
