Needham attempted to stretch his single but was tagged out at second to end the side.

Grove battled back to claim seven first-inning runs- one off an RBI single from Trent Phillips and four from bases-loaded walks. Hudgens added a two-RBI single that plated Martin and Tyler Spychalski to make the seven.

The Ridgerunners added three runs in the third. Martin managed to steal home for a run and later in the inning senior T.J. Griffith hit an RBI single that drove in Zac Knox while Hudgens, who had reached base on a walk, found home off an Owl throwing error on the play.

Fairland struck back in the fourth with a two-run homer from Lett.

A Grove error in the sixth allowed two Fairland base runners- Cale Schumacher and Nowlin to score runs and bring the tally to 10-8, in favor of Grove.

The Ridgerunners scored two runs of their own in the bottom of the sixth- Adam Steffenson and Martin on bases-loaded walks before the Owl rally in the seventh.
