Holding the edge in every quarter, Wyandotte’s girls rolled to a 40-26 victory over Prague in a Class 3A Area III regional elimination game in Beggs Friday. The Lady Bears fell to Beggs in the regional consolation championship game by a score of 40-35 on Saturday bringing their season to a close.

Wyandotte’s boys were eliminated with a 52-38 loss to Oklahoma City Crooked Oak.

Against Prague the Lady Bears only led 4-3 after one quarter but started to pull away in the second thanks to a 15-10 edge.

Wyandotte continued to pad its lead in the second half thanks to 9-3 and

12-10 margins.

Kayla Oleman had 19 points for the Lady Bears. Amanda Stovall chipped in with nine points.

In the boys game Wyandotte saw a 12-11 first quarter lead turn into a 24-19 halftime deficit.

Crooked Oak pulled away in the second half. The Ruf-Nex held a 9-8 edge in the third period then outscored WHS 19-11 in the fourth.

Kurtis Young scored 19 points for the Bears.

Crooked Oak had three players in double digits, topped by Alonzo Fields 19.

Justin Lowe and Walker Ross had 10 each.

The loss ended the Bears season.
