MARCH 13, 1962 – NOVEMBER 15, 2008

GOODMAN, MO – Cindy L. Coffey, 46, Goodman passed into eternal rest at 3:00 p.m. November 15, 2008 at Freeman Neosho Hospital after an illness.

Cindy Lou Reed was born March 13, 1962 in Joplin, MO the daughter of Melvin Reed Sr. and Phyllis Merriman Reed. Cindy formerly taught school at McDonald County, Seneca, Afton, Grove and Greenfield, MO. She graduated with a Bachelors Degree from MSSU in 1984. Cindy was a member of the Seneca Cayuga Tribe of Oklahoma and a member of the Seneca Christian Church.

Cindy married Robert “Bob” Coffey in Fairview, MO, March 19, 1985 and he survives.

Additional survivors include one son Luke Coffey, Wichita, KS. one daughter Mackenzie Shea Coffey of the home; her mother Phyllis Reed, rural Wyandotte, two brothers, Melvin Reed Jr. of Joplin and Wayne Reed, Wyandotte, OK, one sister Amy Stockton, Claremore, OK and host of family and friends.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father Melvin Reed Sr., one brother Winston Reed and her mother-in-law Sally Morgan. Funeral services under the personal direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca was held at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at the Seneca Christian Church with Doug Lawson officiating. Burial followed at the Council House Cemetery with Dan Stockton, Monty Miller, Justin Morgan, Reuben Tipton, Melvin Reed Jr. and Wayne Reed serving as pallbearers. Indian rites will be conducted by the Seneca Cayuga Tribe.

The family received friends from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at the Seneca Christian Church.
