AUGUST 18, 1923 - FEBRUARY 21, 2008

William R. (Bill) Johnson, Wyandotte resident, died at home early Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, after an illness.  He was 84.  Mr. Johnson was born Aug. 18, 1923, at Siloam Springs, AR., to William R. and Myrtie Gerhard Johnson, Jr.

 He was a veteran, having served in the US Army during WWII.  He was retired from Jay Public Schools.  He married Betty Weaver on Mar. 27, 1943.  She survives of the home.

 Other survivors include two daughters, Willa Honea of Grove and Debbie Moore and husband, Larry, of Grove, a brother, Alvin Johnson of Lehigh, OK, a sister, Doris Flynn, of Tulsa, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

 He was preceded by a son, Dale Johnson, two brothers, Terrial Johnson and Kenneth Johnson, and a sister, Imogene Carr.

 A visitation was from 2 pm till 3:30 pm Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, at Adcock Funeral Home in Fairland, with a memorial service to follow, with Rev. Larry Moore officiating..  A graveside service was at 10:00 a.m., Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs, AR.

 Serving as pallbearers were Shane Moore, Bryan Moore, Craig Thompson, Bob Long, Stan Weaver, and Rick Weaver.
