Grove – Two local teenagers were injured in a car accident last Tuesday afternoon while traveling westbound on 16th street in Grove.
According to police chief Mark Morris, the 2001 Dodge pickup lost control going through a large mud puddle in the roadway, and sideswiped a tree. The vehicle then veered across the roadway and struck another tree head on.
The driver of the pickup, 16 year-old female Tailor Fink, and passenger 17 year-old William Sievert were transported with head and trunk injuries to Integris Grove General Hospital and later released.
Morris stated that the residents in the area of the accident are upset about the condition of the road, and have brought the issue up with county commissioners in hopes of getting it repaired.
