GROVE – An Afton man arrested on burglary complaints is free on bail, the Delaware County Sheriff’s office confirmed on Wednesday.
Joshua Blake Cousin, 27, was arrested Tuesday on complaints of second-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools and resisting arrest. He is accused of breaking into the Dollar General Store, said Grove Police Chief Mark Morris.
Cousin appeared in Delaware County Court in Jay on Wednesday and later posted $4,500 bail.
Grove police arrived at the store around 4 a.m. on Tuesday after receiving a complaint of the activation of a motion alarm in the store’s office, Morris said.
Cousin was taken into custody at the scene after a fight with police officers.
While Cousin’s was being booked-in at the Grove Police department, officers found several burglary-type tools in Cousin’s pockets, including a Wyandotte Casino Credit card “with marks resembling (those that would indicate the card) being used to open locked doors.”
