A three-vehicle collision at Tom Cat Corner sent a Grove man to the hospital with a head injury Friday night, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).
Kelsey J. Blye, 25, of Grove was transported to INTEGRIS Grove Hospital and later transferred by Eagle Med to Freeman Hospital in Joplin, MO after sustaining a head injury in an accident that occurred at approximately 9:32 p.m. on U.S. 59 and County Road 250, the report said. He was pinned for about 18 minutes before rescue workers removed him from the car.
The accident occurred when the Blye vehicle, which was traveling eastbound on Country Road 250, failed to stop at the stop sign on U.S. 59.
A pickup driven by James H. Janzen, 49, of Beggs, was southbound on U.S. 59 at the time and struck the Blye vehicle, causing it, in turn, to strike a third car, which was northbound on U.S. 59.
The third car was driven by Yer Yang, 18, of Fairland. She was treated at INTEGRIS Grove Hospital for an arm injury and released.
Yang was pinned in her vehicle for approximately ten minutes.
