JAY - The Red Cross has scheduled their next Blood Drive for the Jay community on Wednesday, June 10.
The Jay Community Center is still closed, due to the coronavirus, so they have moved the location to the American Legion Post 195 at 701 Highway 20, next to the Delaware County Waste collection site.
It will be held 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a lunch break from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Bring your mask, each donor will be sanitized, their temperature taken at the door, everyone will be spaced six feet apart and the facility will be fully sanitized for each person’s protection.
You may call the Red Cross direct at 1-800-733-2767 to secure a Rapid Pass, after they collect your information.
This is a crucial time for donors to step up and for someone to become a first-time blood donor.
Previously postponed surgeries are now being re-scheduled, but the blood supplies are very low due to fewer donors nation-wide, because of the COVID-19 shelter-in-place.
Your gift may very well help save someone’s life, give on Wednesday, June 10, 2020.
Any questions you may have, call Virginia Cordell at 918-801-6788.
