GROVE - The 2020 United States Census is underway and more than 70,800,000 households have self-responded to the surveys via online, mail or by phone.

At the time of press, the National self-response rate was 47.9 percent, according to the official 2020 Census website.

The Oklahoma self-response rate 42.9 percent with 810,000 households having responded. This percentage puts the state in 42nd overall. In 2010, the state's final report was only 62.3 percent.

Delaware County has a self-response rate of 28.9 percent. Out of 3,203 counties in the United States, this places the county in 2,623 nationally. Out of Oklahoma's 77 counties, Delaware sits in 57 place overall. In 2010, Delaware County's final tally was only 47.1 percent.

The City of Grove has a self-response rate of 41.3 percent. In 2018, the population for the city was 7,070 and in the 2010 Census, the city reported 63.1 percent of the populous.

The City of Jay has a self-response rate of 26.7 percent. In 2018, the population of the city was 2,528 and in the 2010 Census, the city reported 58.0 percent of the populous.

The town of Kansas has a self-response rate of 16.6 percent. In 2018, the population of the town was 800 and in the 2010 Census, the town reported 61.9 percent of the populous.

The town of Colcord has a self-response rate 18.9 percent. In 2018 the population of the town was 836 and in the 2010 Census, the town reported 55.3 percent of the populous.

The town of Oaks has a self-response rate of 7.3 percent. In 2018 the population of the town was 285 and in the 2010 Census the town reported 59.8 percent of the populous.

At the time of press, Minnesota had the highest self-response rate at 57.2 percent. The state finished the 2010 census with a 74.1 percent response rate. Puerto Rico has the lowest self-response rate with just 4.9 percent. According to the official census website, this is due to the recent suspension of certain field operations. In 2010, Puerto Rico had a 53.8 percent.
