GLENPOOL - The Grove High School Lady Red basketball team added another win to their season total on Friday night at Glenpool. The Lady Red easily doubled up their opponent with a 44-22 victory on the road.

The win moved the 11th ranked Lady Red to 18-3. They are in the midst of an incredible regular season with just one game to go. The Lady Red traveled to Claremore on Monday, February 17, who they beat 71-18 at home earlier in the season.

The Lady Red have relied heavily on their size and strength advantages this season. Junior forward Rory Geer is leading the team in scoring with 17.6 points per game. Sophomore Kolby Boyett is second with 9.7 while senior Elizabeth Cash averages 9.5 points per game. Geer moves inside and out but often finds a way to get to the rim and has a knack for drawing fouls. She is shooting almost 7 free throws a game and making 73.0 percent of them.

Geer is also leading the team with 6.8 rebounds per game. She is followed by Boyett who averages 4.7 rebounds per game. Junior Dawn Blake runs is leading the team with 3.1 steals and 2.9 assists per game. Senior Mikalle Pair leads the team shooting 80.0 percent from the free throw line.

The Lady Red do a really good job playing defense and maximizing their offensive possessions. Grove will be a fun team to watch when the postseason starts on Friday, February 21 when District play pits the Lady Red against the Miami Lady Wardogs at 6:30 p.m. in Grove.
