OKC, Okla. - Sen. Micheal Bergstrom, R-Adair, met with community leaders and constituents earlier this month, ahead of the upcoming legislative session at the annual Eucha Breakdown.
“This is a great opportunity for those of us in elected positions to meet with constituents, share our experiences and plans and hear what’s on the mind of those we serve,” Bergstrom said.
The event was held at the Eucha Community Center and drew a crowd from the surrounding areas.
“The upcoming legislative session should provide many ways for us to foster positive change in Oklahoma that can improve the lives of our citizens, and that’s the message I’m trying to share,” Bergstrom said. “I see opportunities in many areas including education, public safety, tourism and further diversifying our economy to become less dependent on oil and gas revenue. While there may not be a significant increase in our state’s revenue for the next fiscal year, there are still many positive things we can do to make a difference.”
Bergstrom will join his colleagues at the Capitol to begin the Second Session of the 57th Legislature on Monday, Feb. 3.
