The Lady Red are on a roll.

On Friday, January 17, Grove topped the Glenpool Lady Warriors, earning the team's ninth season win and putting the Lady Red at a 9-1 record.

Grove 58, Glenpool 21

Despite the final score, the game started slowly. The Lady Red scored their first point via a free-throw from Kolby Boyett at the 6:10 mark. Glenpool's first point was also a free-throw, with Grove holding the team scoreless for six and a half minutes. The first quarter ended on a score of 13-3, Grove.

In the second quarter, Rory Geer caught fire and scored an impressive 16 points, including ending the quarter on three threes. This ended the quarter on a score of 35-8 in favor of the Lady Red.

The domination waned a bit in the third quarter, when Grove's Sage Jackson and a Lady Warrior crashed into each other, causing the Glenpool player to leave the game, and busting Jackson's forehead open. Jackson would return to the game, head bandaged. The quarter ended on a score of 47-20, Grove.

The final quarter was a defensive battle as Grove held the Lady Warriors to a single point and scored eleven points of their own. The game ended with a score of 58-21.

Geer lead the Lady Red in scoring with 25, followed by Boyett and Elizabeth Cash, both with 11, Baylee Gregg had 4, Anna Bacon had 3 and Megan Gibbs had 2.

The Lady Red will host Claremore on Tuesday, January 21 at 6 p.m.
