J-Way Cafe is officially on the move south...to their new location in the former L & L Pawn building on south highway 59 in Jay.

The ribbon-cutting event, marking the move, occurred on Tuesday, October 29.

The new location has more parking and more space inside that is bright and inviting, plus enough seating to match the grill space.

Chris and Dennis Duvall, the owners, have looked forward to moving into their new location, as they waited for L & L Pawn to move into their new building.

Lunch hours have been hectic as regular patrons and new patrons find their way south.

The counter catches the eye as the top is resin-covered 2019 pennies.

“Originally, I wanted to cover the whole floor in resin-covered pennies until I found out it would take 65,000 pennies, so I settled for just doing the counter,” said Duvall.

The J-Way’s current hours are Monday – Friday 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Saturday 6 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
