Grove has won again!

The now 4-5 Ridgerunners have defeated the Oologah Mustangs in Ridgerunner Stadium on Friday, November 1.

Oologah started off the scoring with a 24 yard touchdown pass from Blake Salt to Cooper Christian. Grove answered with a 59 yard touchdown run from freshman Emmanuel Crawford, ending the first quarter with a 7-all tie.

Again Oologah started off the scoring with a 5 yard touchdown run for Trevor Rodgers. Again Grove answered with a 33 yard touchdown run from Caden Gain. The first half ended with a tie of 14-all.

The Ridgerunners shook things up in the third, scoring on a 54 yard run from Kadian Forbis. But the Mustangs would come back with two touchdown runs to regain the lead.

But the lead would again switch hands as Grove's quarterback, Carson Trimble, connected with Hank Hacker for a 33 yard pass and again with Crawford for a 29 yard pass. The Ridgerunner's final touchdown would be an impressive 88 yard run from Crawford.

Oologah would score once more, but the clock expired on a 42-35 Grove lead.

Grove had 351 rushing yards and 105 passing yards for a total of 456 offensive yards on the game. Oologah had 287 rushing yards and 171 passing yards for a total of 458 offensive yards. The Ridgerunners had six penalties for 56 yards and the Mustangs had 5 penalties for 35 yards.

Trimble was 7-14 from the pockets, throwing two touchdowns and one interception.

Crawford led the running backs with 15 carries for 202 yards and two touchdowns. Forbis also had 15 carries for 47 yards and a touchdown. Gain had three carries for 55 yards and one touchdown. Trimble had three carries for -1 yard and Matt Bush had one carry for -2 yards.

Hacker led the wide receivers with one catch for 33 yards and a touchdown. Crawford had one catch for 29 yards and a touchdown. Bush had four catches for 41 yards. Forbis had one catch for two yards.

Grove's final regular season game will be on the road against Tulsa McLain on Friday, November 8 at 7 p.m.
