The Grove Cross Country teams headed to Regionals on Saturday, October 26.
The Regional meet took place at Case Community Park in Sand Springs, Oklahoma.
The varsity girls had three athletes compete in a field of 97 runners. Rory Geer placed twelfth overall with a time of 22:23.64. Katelyn Cohea finished with a time of 24:30.37 to place 46. Jazzmine Aguire ran a 26:13.73 to place 71.
The varsity boys placed fifteenth as a team, with 390 points. Five athletes competed in a field of 127 runners.
Bishop Kelley won the meet with 54 points, followed by Guthrie (56), Tahlequah (81), Durant (127), Claremore (155), Collinsville (201), Del City (216), Thomas Edison (224), Shawnee (241), McAlester (295), Coweta (316), Glenpool (350), Pryor (358), Will Rogers (363), Woodward (444), Skiatook (483) and Tulsa Memorial (517).
Freshman Jackson Kernan ran an 18:30.58 to finish in twentieth. Ryan McAbee placed 62 with a time of 20:01.04. Dakota Rickey crossed the finish line at 21:04.32 to place 87. Nick Brown ran a 22:40.99 to place 105 and Dalton Davis placed 118 with a time of 23:58.72.
The names of state qualifiers had not been released as of publication. The 5A State meet will take place on Saturday, November 2.
