The 36th Annual Pelican Festival hosted by the Grand Lake Association is underway.

The festivities began on Thursday, October 10 and will continue through Sunday, October 13. The events include a carnival, arts, crafts, food trucks, a car show, a parade, free balloon animals, free face painting and live entertainment. Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase the 2020 Grove Firefighter calendar. All events will take place at Wolf Creek Park.


Carnival: open from 6 - 10 p.m.


Arts, Crafts and Food Trucks: open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Live Entertainment: nighTTrain, a rock band that plays classic rock, hard rock and heavy metal music will take the stage from 7:30 - 10 p.m.


Parade: The Grove Rotary Club has organized a parade for the 2019 Pelican Festival. The parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Grove Civic Center and will end at Cheapo Depot. The parade will feature Shriners, Worley-Lugenbuel's 1894 horse drawn funeral carriage, the Delaware County Mounted Search and Rescue, Rep. Josh West, the Grove High School and the Grove Middle School marching bands, as well as cars enter in the car show.

Car Show: The Grove Masonic Lodge has organized a car show that will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Arts, Crafts and Food Trucks: open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Free Balloon Animals: Balloon E. Dude will be creating fun animals for free from 12 - 3 p.m.

Carnival: open from 12 - 10 p.m.

Free Face Painting: The Grove High School Cheerleaders will be painting faces for free from 1 - 5 p.m.

Live Entertainment: Rock and Roll Over, a KISS tribute band, will take the stage from 7:30 - 10 p.m.


Carnival: open from 1 - 6 p.m.
