The Lady Red racked up their 22 win on Tuesday, October 1 when the team hosted the Claremore Sequoyah Lady Eagles.
Grove was coming off a tough loss to Webb City and the loss of Lauren Outhier to injury. The Lady Red and the Lady Eagles both had a tough time reaching bases, but Grove would take the W.

The Lady Red's first run was scored when Laken Malone hit a line drive into center field, batting in Ava Sarwinski, who had reached first on a grounder, stolen second and moved to third on an out. Sarwinski's run was the deciding factor until the bottom of the fifth.
In the bottom of the fifth, Mikalle Pair hit a single to get on base. Then Elizabeth Cash hit a single, putting runners at first and second. Malone was up at bat and hit a double, batting in Pair. Anastasia Pace reached first on a fly, batting in Cash, making the score 3-0.
Grove would score their final two runs in the bottom of the sixth. Cayden Hollingsworth led the batters and hit a single. After an out, Sarwinski hit a single, moving Hollingsworth to second. Pair hit a grounder to load the bases. Cash hit a single, batting Hollingsworth in. Malone hit a grounder and was tagged out, but batted in Sarwinski, making the score 5-0.
Claremore Sequoyah would be unable to score in the top of the seventh, despite a runner making it to third.
Sarwinski had two hits and runs, Pair had two hits and one runs, Cash had one hit, one run and one run batted in. Malone had two hits and three runs batted in, Pace had one hit and one run batted in and Hollingsworth had one hit and one run.
Malone pitched all seven innings, throwing 98 pitches. Of those 98, 65 were strikes. Malone allowed two hits, no runs, walked two batters and earned 13 Ks.
The Lady Red played again on Thursday, October 3 in Bartlesville and will begin Regional play on Wednesday, October 9.
