Colcord vs Quapaw

Colcord Hornets beat the Quapaw Wildcats 39 to 25 at Quapaw.

Colcord’s sophomore Stormy Odle scored three long-distance TD’s in the game, one run for 59 yards, a second one for 57 yards and a third one for 53 yards.

Freshman Jesse Martinez intercepted a Quapaw pass and returned it 42 yards for a TD.

Their next game will be at home as their first conference game against 2-2 Commerce on October 4. This is also the Hornets' homecoming, beginning with a parade at 2 p.m., coronation at 6 p.m. and the game at 7 p.m.

Oaks vs Cave Springs

The Oaks Warriors lost their fifth game to the Cave Springs Hornets 24 to 70 on Thursday, September 26. It was a tough loss for Oaks, but they were able to put up 24 points.

In the Warriors first game of the season against Arkoma was their closest game scoring 28 points to 30 Arkoma points.

The next game will be away and their first conference game at 2 and 2 Foyil on October 11.

Kansas vs Nowata

Kansas Comets fell to the Nowata Ironmen 12 to 22 on Friday, September 27.

The Comets came on strong the first quarter with 12 points, but the Ironmen didn’t allow any more Comets points while they tacked on 8 points in the second quarter and 14 points in the fourth.

Kansas meets the 1 and 3 Salina Wildcats in an away conference game on October 4.

Grove vs. Miami

After a back and forth scoring battle, the Ridgerunners won the game with an 13 yard touchdown from freshman Emmanuel Crawford, which made the score 28-21. Crawford had three of the four touchdowns in the game. Freshman quarterback Carson Trimble was 7-15 from the pocket and had two TDs and one interception.

Grove moves to 2-2 on the season will now face the 3-1 Wagoner Bulldogs on Friday, October 4 at 7 p.m.

Miami is now 1-3 on the year and will play on the road against the 0-4 Catoosa Indians on Friday, October 4 at 7 p.m.
