The most highly anticipated football game of the season, the Delaware County Bowl game, is on Friday, September 13.

In celebration of the game, the Jay High School Alumni Association is hosting the 'Kiss the Mascot Event', which will take place during the halftime of the DelCo Bowl.

To take part in the event, fans are asked to donate any amount to a Bulldog or Ridgerunner at Grand Savings Bank, Arvest Bank, Jay High School, Grove High School or during the DelCo Bowl. The lucky winner from each team will kiss the opposing team's mascot.

The Ridgerunners are represented by Representative Josh West, Ben Hampton of Bank of Grand Lake, President of the Grove Area Chamber of Commerce Donnie Crain and Grove Public School's Superintendent Pat Dodson.

The Bulldogs are represented by President of Grand Savings Bank Johnnie Earp, Mayor of Jay Becki Farley, Jay High School Principle James Bryant and former educator and coach Larry Shackleford.

All proceeds raised during the friendly rivalry will go towards scholarships. For more information visit the Jay High School Alumni Association Facebook page.
