The Lady Red hosted the Stilwell Lady Indians in a doubleheader on Tuesday, September 3.
Grove bested Stilwell 16-2 in the two games, improving their record to 11-3 on the season.

The Lady Red kept the Lady Indians contained to first base, while scoring seven runs in the bottom of the first, three more in the bottom of the second and score a final run in the bottom of the third.
Elizabeth Cash, Anastasia Pace and Alex Crittenden all scored two runs a piece, while Ava Sarwinski, Mikalle Pair, Lauren Outhier, Dawn Blake and Cayden Hollingsworth each scored a single run.
Laken Malone was near perfect on the mound, throwing a five inning shutout. Malone ended the game after 83 pitches, 55 of which were strikes and earning 11 Ks. Malone only allowed one hit during the game.
Grove 5, Stilwell 2
After a short break the two teams went at it again. Stilwell put up a better fight, but the Lady Red would still take home the victory.
The Lady Indians were the first to score, with a run in the bottom of the first.
Grove answered in the top of the second. Outhier reached first on a walk, second on a sacrifice bunt from Blake and crossed home on a single by Lily Jackson. This run tied the game 1-1.
After a quiet third inning, the Lady Red would score again. Outhier was walked a second time. After two pitches to Blake, who was in the batter's box, Outhier stole second. Blake hit a grounder that was fielded by the third baseman and tagged out at first, but it advanced Outhier to third. Hollingsworth hit a line drive into centerfield, not only doubling herself, but also giving Outhier time to score again. Grove now led 2-1.
Hollingsworth stole third and Stilwell walked Jackson. Sarwinski would strike out, leaving runners on first and third. Pair would single on a fly ball on the first pitch, giving Hollingsworth a chance to score. The Lady Red ended the inning 3-1.
After three quick outs, Grove was back on offense. The Lady Red's Malone singled, Outhier was walked, Blake was walked and the bases were loaded. Hollingsworth hit a single, batting in a run by Kaylee Shepherd, Malone's courtesy runner. Jackson grounded out, but Grove's Outhier scored again making the score 5-1.
In the bottom of the seventh, the Lady Indians would score on an error, improving their score. But it would be too little, too late as the game ended with a score of 5-2, Grove.
Pair pitched all seven innings, throwing 85 pitches, 55 of which were strikes. Pair allowed four hits and two runs, but earned four Ks.
The Lady Red will play again on Monday, September 9, when Grove hosts Pryor at 5 p.m.
