The Oaks Lady Warriors played a strong game against the Fairland Lady Owls, but met their match in Fairland where they lost 10 to 0.

The Lady Owls have an 8 - 0 record and after defeating the Lady Warriors, left the next day for Erie, Colorado to play in an invitational tournament.

Oaks held the Lady Owls to one run in the first two innings, but in the third, the Lady Owls broke loose and scored seven runs.

After Coach Mark Sherrell called timeout, the team settled down and they got three quick outs to end the third inning.

The Lady Warriors have a strong infield with good hustle, having snagged a number of direct hits and/or throwing runners out at first base.

Their catcher, Kenzie Quinn #35, didn't miss one pitch throughout the game.

Abbi Stopp #15 consistently delivered the heat from the pitcher's mound, delivering only one walk and that was only the first Owls batter, but settled in for the rest of the game.

Caitlyn Smith #23 did a great job of covering first base, helping to deliver most of the Owls' outs at first base.

The Lady Warriors' overall record is 4 and 4 for the season.

Oaks' next game was home against Commerce on August 29, then an away game at Cave Springs on on September 3.
