Grove's Lady Red soccer team has wrapped up an impressive regular season under Coach Walker Botts, finishing with a 12-3 record on the whole season and a 5-2 record in district play.
Grove 4, McDonald County 0
On Monday, April 15, the Lady Red soccer team hosted the McDonald County Lady Mustangs. Grove was coming off a 10-0 shut out against Daniel Webster and although the Lady Red were slow to start, sealed the deal to get the win.
The first half had a single goal scored, while the second half held three more goals, all for Grove. Kynsley Converse scored three goals, while Emley Hernandez pulled in the final goal. Madison Nutt had two assists and Faith Tully had one.
Oologah 1, Grove 0
The final regular season game for Grove was on the road at Oologah on Tuesday, April 16. The defensive battle ended in the Lady Mustangs' favor, with just a single goal scored during the game.
The Lady Red had two on-target shots, but neither shot fell. Oologah got eight shots off on Grove, but only three were on target. Grove's goalie, Anna Bacon, saved two of those three.
Playoff information has yet to be announced by the OSSAA, but the Lady Red will play in the post season some time next week.
