Monthly Community Sing

Volunteers at Grove Assembly of God the monthly gospel sing, at 6 p.m., Saturday, April 13, at the church, 29080 South 637 Road (east Highway 10), Grove.

The event will include a mix of gospel and contemporary music. Singers/groups are encouraged to take part. This month's featured singers include New Revival from Bentonville, Arkansas.

Veterans Appreciation Day

Volunteers at Foundation Free Will Baptist Church, in conjunction with the DAV Chapter #19, will host a Veterans Appreciation Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, April 13, at the church.

Boy Scout Spaghetti Dinner

A spaghetti dinner fundraiser for Boy Scout Troop 78 will take place from 4:30 to 7 p.m., Monday, April 15, at First United Methodist Church, 1005 Leisure Road, Grove.

The meal, for $5 per person, is all you can eat and will help offset expenses incurred by the scouts.

Seventh Annual Soup & Sermon

The Seventh Annual Soup & Sermon series, sponsored by the Grove Ministerial Alliance, will take place on Tuesdays, now to April 16 during the lenten season.

The event includes a free soup meal, served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., and worship from 12:15 to 12:50 p.m. Speakers represent various churches within the Grove community.

Holy Week at St. Andrew's

The congregation of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church will observe holy week with a series of services from Thursday, April 18 to Saturday, April 20.

Easter Egg Hunt in Grove

Volunteers at Grove's First Baptist Church will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m., Saturday, April 20, at the church.

The event will include thousands of eggs filled with candy, prizes and tickets for larger prizes. Children up to fifth grade can bring their Easter baskets to pick up eggs. There will be a designated area for different age groups. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. inside the church.

Community Easter Egg Hunt

Volunteers at Disney Assembly of God will host a community Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m., Saturday, April 20, at 313 East Wall Street, in Disney, across from the Disney Post Office.

Easter at Grove's First Baptist

Members of Grove's First Baptist Church will host several events on Sunday, April 21, for Easter.

The services include a sunrise service at 7 a.m., at the Red Barn four miles east of town; and a resurrection service with special choral music at 10:30 a.m. in the church sanctuary.

"Outta That Grave" will be the theme of the Easter Sunday service on Sunday, April 21, at Mountain Movers Church, located outside of Grove on South 660 Road.

Members of Group 33 Motorcycle Club and the Grove Ministerial Alliance will host an Easter Egg Hunt at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 21, at the Grove Sports Complex, 13th and Shundi in Grove.

The event is geared for students 1-year thru 12-years-old. Students will be divided into age appropriate groupings. The hunt starts right at 2 p.m., sharp. Children need to be in place by 1:45 p.m.

Hymn Sing in Grove

Bluegrass Jam at St. Andrew's

Taste Of Grace, a free soup outreach ministry, organized by members of Trinity Baptist Church, Grove, will take place from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., every Wednesday, at the church.

The event is designed to provide soup to anyone, no questions asked. No preaching, just "made from scratch soup."

Caring Kitchen/Feed My Sheep

Volunteers with The Caring Kitchen and Feed My Sheep have combined efforts to provide their services on the same day.

The Caring Kitchen, now located at 11th and Washbourne, in Jay, will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Mondays, while Feed My Sheep will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m, across the roadway in its facility.

Caring Kitchen 2.0 will provide a nutritious meal once a week in its new location in Jay. Feed My Sheep will provide a food pantry for those in need on the same day.

The combined operation is designed to allow the two organizations to join forces in order to serve members of the community.
