Fringe benefits for support staff and other employment issues will be before the Grove School Board when it meets for the first time in 2019.
The meeting, set for 7 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 10, takes place in lieu of the regular second Tuesday meeting for the month. The date was changed to allow administrators additional time to prepare for the meeting, because of the way the New Year's holiday fell this year.
The agenda includes a discussion concerning support employee school closure leave benefits, as well as the potential hiring of two full-time night custodians.
A review, evaluation and the possible amendment of the contract for Pat Dodson, superintendent, is also on the agenda.
Dodson, who formerly worked as the mid-school principal, is entering his second semester as the district's superintendent.
Board members may choose to enter into a closed, executive session to discuss the hiring of the night custodians and Dodson's evaluation/contract renewal.
Other items on the agenda include the approval of closing and transferring the activity account #962 - Sharon Hicks Duff Scholarship, and transferring $55 to the Girls Basketball account #803.
Other items may be added to the agenda, after press-time, because the agenda does not have to be finalized until the end of the day Monday, Jan. 7.
