David Ford, 67, of Miami, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2018 at his home in Miami.

Dave was born in Miami on Jan. 15, 1951 to John and June (Smothermen) Ford.

Dave attended Eastern New Mexico State University where he was a member of the Rodeo Team, and upon completing his Associate’s Degree he joined the United States Marine Corps. Dave was a Viet Nam veteran, serving seven years with the Marine Corps and receiving an honorable discharge in 1981.

Dave married his wife Debra in 1979 and raised one son, Michael.

Dave was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Marilyn Ford. Surviving him are his sister Diana Ford of Deming, New Mexico, his brother Ronnie Ford and wife Monica of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Dave is survived by his wife Debra and son Michael with his fiancée Danielle, all of Miami, Oklahoma.

Patriot Guard Riders escorted Dave’s body to Ft. Gibson National Cemetery and formed a flag line for graveside services on Friday, Sept. 28, with military rites being conducted by the Marine Corps Honor Guard.
