Members of the Combat Vets Motorcycle Association 10-5 Grove Chapter were asked to present the colors on Saturday, June 9, by the Fairland Car Show Committee, during the annual event in Fairland.

The CVMA is an association of combat veterans from all branches of the United States Armed Forces who ride motorcycles as a hobby.

Its mission is to support and defend those who have defended our country and our freedoms.

The focus of the group is to help veterans, whether through donations, visiting veteran care facilities, providing a warm meal, clothing, shelter, and guidance, or simply to say, "Thank You" and "Welcome Home."

Formed in 2002, the CVMA is comprised of Full Members (military veterans with verified combat service), Support Members (military veterans who have not served in combat), and Auxiliary Members (the spouse of a member).

The organization has members from all 50 states, Europe and Asia. Many members continue to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces, and some are currently serving in combat zones.
