It is with deep sorrow that the family of Kyle Anthony McDowell Rutherford, announce his passing on Saturday, April 7, 2018.
Kyle entered the world on June 29, 2004 in Rincon, Georgia. He reluctantly attended school at Southwest City, Jay Schools and The Grove Country Day Academy in Grove this year. He tried baseball, basketball and wrestling but school and sports were not his thing.
He dearly loved his family, the farm, and the freedom of the outdoors. Kyle enjoyed fishing, hunting and camping. He was a member of the Grove Fishing Team, FLW, and Bass Nation. He could be seen on the farm fishing, cruising around, driving a 4-wheeler, or riding a wheelie on his dirt bike the entire length of the field.
But most of all, Kyle loved to talk, tease, joke, prank, and share stories with the ones he loved. Heaven will definitely need to pass out earplugs now, because his contagious laughter will be heard throughout.
Kyle will be forever remembered by his parents, Tony Rutherford and Misty McDowell; his sister, Blaike Rutherford; brother, Bryce Rutherford; grandma, Diane Rutherford; grandparents, Cindy and Roy Lovitt; grandpa, Stephen McDowell; two uncles, three aunts, and 14 cousins.
Visitation for Kyle will take place from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, April 13, at Lawson’s Funeral Home in Jay.
Graveside services will take place at 1 p.m., Saturday, April 14, at the Rutherford Family Cemetery located at 18794 E. 420 Rd. Jay.
Arrangements are entrusted to Lawson’s Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Jay, with Shaunda J. Lawson, 3rd Generation Owner/Funeral Director and Staff.
