Sarah “Louise” Gabriel, 92, Grove, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018.
Louise was born on April 28, 1925, in Red Starr, Arkansas to Floyd and Ethel (Roberts) Boen.
Louise was united in marriage to Hugh Gabriel on June 15, 1946 in Tulsa. She earned her associates degree from Draughan’s Business College and worked in various oil companies and American Airlines until she and her husband bought a farm in the Butler District and moved from their farm in Owasso, to Grove in 1953.
She worked as a bookkeeper for Uniongas in Grove, for many years; later owned and operated her own real estate company; and taught at the Vo-Tech.
Louise enjoyed visiting and finding a good deal at yard sales, but her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Louise will be reunited in Heaven with her husband, Hugh, who passed in 1973. Her parents and seven siblings also preceded her in death.
Louise leaves here on earth to live out her legacy six daughters: Diane Bannister of Kirkland, Washington; Donna Snell of Bernice; Patricia Fields and her husband Wayne of Broken Arrow; Anne and her husband Richard Manicom of Grove; and twins Linda Fields and Belinda Romane, both of Grove.
Additional survivors include a brother, Ira Boen of Grove, and a sister, Shirley Bowen of Wichita, Kansas. She was dearly blessed with 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will take place from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 26, at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove.
Service will take place at 11 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 27, at the Grove Church of Christ with Bob Kirkley officiating.
Louise will be laid to rest at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, at a later date.
Online condolences may be made by viewing Louise’s Book of Memories at www.honoringmemories.com. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice or the charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove.
