Donald (Doodle) Dale Varner, 71, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017 at Freeman Health System, Joplin, Missouri.
Doodle was born in Gravette, Arkansas to his parents, Carman Melvin Varner and Laura Lewis Varner.
He served in the United States Army. Doodle loved reading, sports, animals and spending quality time with his family.
He worked 38 years with Kansas City Southern Lines as their Track Laborer.
Doodle is Preceded in death by his parents, Carman and Laura Varner; brother, Steve Varner.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Christina Varner of the home; daughters, Brandi Varner and Ashley Varner; grandsons, Grayson Bourg and Caden Blevins; as well as three brothers and five sisters.
The Varner family will have a private memorial service at a later date. Doodle’s Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Fayetteville National Cemetery, Fayetteville, Arkansas with The United States Army Military Honors.
