Colcord traveled to Ketchum twice Tuesday, Sept. 5 and Monday, Sept. 11 to take on the Lady Warriors as well as Fairland and Afton.

The first trip saw Colcord drop games to Ketchum 16-4 and Class 2A eighth ranked Fairland 12-1. The return trip on Monday saw them with two wins 9-4 over Ketchum and 11-7 with Afton.

Colcord 9 Ketchum 4

Colcord finished with 13 hits in the game led by Kailee Fowler going 4-4 while Shawnee Nichols, Summer Tuell and Kaylee Potter two. Jennifer Martin had one hit in the win for Colcord. Ashley Wolfe had three runs, Kailee Fowler two for the Lady Hornets with Nichols, Bailee Fowler and Potter one.

Skyla Drywater was the winning pitcher with five his and one walk.

Colcord 11 Afton 4

Makayla Phan scored three runs for Colcord in the game while Nichols and Potter had two. Phan also finished 3-3 with Abby Simmons going 3-4. Nichols and Simmons had two RBI’s each. Nichols and Tuell had two hits in the game.

Tuell was the winning pitcher with nine hits, eight strike outs and two walks.

Fairland 12 Colcord 1

Colcord only had one hit in the game from Tuell who score their only run.

Bailee Fowler pitched the game with 11 hits, three strike outs and four walks.

Ketchum 16 Colcord 14

Colcord scored four runs in the first and seven in the third to lead 12-3 going into the fourth inning. Ketchum rallied for eight runs in the fourth inning and five in the seventh inning.

Tuell and Simmons had three hits each with Nichols, Bailee Fowler and Potter two.

Tuell pitched the game on the mound with five strike outs in the game and eight hits.

Colcord will host Fairland on Thursday, Sept. 14 and Tahlequah Sequoyah on Tuesday, Sept. 19.


Colcord was assigned the district tournament games at 13th ranked Sallisaw Central. The game will be played Thurs.-Fri., Sept. 21-22.
