The driver of a bass boat sustained third degree burns to his legs after a boat he was refloating exploded on Lake Hudson.

According to Justin Alberty, corporate spokesman for the Grand River Dam Authority, the man was attempting to refloat a bass boat, at approximately 5:20 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 27, which had taken on water near the Horseshoe area on Lake Hudson, when the boat exploded for an unknown reason. 

The driver was taken by air to Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa for treatment.
