Tim Stephens of Disney, OK came home a winner from the 2009 National Leadership Conference of Business Professionals of America (BPA). The conference was held June 16-20 in Dallas, Texas. Tim placed first in the Digital Media Production event. For this event, Tim created a two-minute promotional DVD for next year’s conference to be held in Anaheim, California. In his video he had a miner portraying a journey to the BPA conference where along the way he stops to inform students about the BPA organization.
Tim recently graduated from the Interactive Media and Graphics program at Northeast Technology Center (NTC), Afton Campus. During the program Tim studied video production and received certification as a video production assistant along with a gold certificate from the Work Keys certification program. For his editing Tim used a Macintosh computer and Final Cut Studio software. Tim earned the opportunity to represent the school at national competition by placing first in state BPA competition held in March.
During his training Tim also wrote and produced videos for Development by Designs, a promotional video for the Senior Companion Program, a commercial for the Marine Power Technology program at NTC, and the NTC summer camp video.
