Local author Leroy Harding, of Grove, will present some stories from his book Whitewater Memories at the Delaware County Genealogical Societyís meeting on Tuesday, May 19, at 7 p.m. at the Grove Public Library.
Harding originally began writing the stories for his grandchildren, but has now collected them into a book.†
Those who didnít live through the 1930s and 40s will learn much about the life in the rural areas in those years.† The information includes life in the one-room school to important things like how lawmen tracked down the illegal stills.
The former Grove businessman enjoys telling his stories and is at ease with his audience.

The public is invited to all the meetings of the Genealogical Society.† Anyone interested in their familyís history is invited to join the society.
The society supports the genealogical program at the Grove Public Library by providing volunteers and donation of materials.
