Pam Hulion, compliance officer at Grand Savings Bank in Grove, has been named an “Honors Graduate” of the 2009 Oklahoma Bankers Association Compliance School.
Hulion will receive a plaque at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3 at Grand Savings Bank located at 1022 S. Main St.
Priscilla Barnes, the 2009 Compliance school chair, will make the presentation. Barnes is the executive vice president at Stillwater National Bank in Stillwater.
Hulion was selected for the Compliance School honor based on her outstanding work on the school’s exam and her contributions to and participation in class. She was chosen by the school’s regents, staff, faculty and students.
Hulion was among 39 students who attended the school in August at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.
The annual school helps bank employees cope with the many laws and regulations that affect bank lending and deposit functions. Students learned how to plan, implement and manage compliance programs and prepare for compliance examinations by regulators.
The OBA conducts more than 70 educational programs and seminars each year for the state banking community. The Association represents approximately 280 banks across the state, supporting the industry with a broad array of services including government relations, education, fraud training, legal services and communications.
