Grove 4-H monthly meetings bustle with projects from leather working experts Nolan Scarberry and Paul Bryant as well as discussions on financial budgeting and checkbook balancing by Becky Fields of First National Bank.
Robin White hosted our Veterans Day celebration with a vibrant presentation on the fatal blow, which began WWI resulting in Armistice Day, as we made poppies. Members present rotate officer obligations allowing for each member to hold office and be responsible for those obligations. Congratulations to Katelyn Norley and Troy Helms for their winnings at both the Delaware County and the Tulsa State Fair as well as Troy’s Grand Champion Jr Solo win in Share the Fun. Thank you for representing us and Making the Best Better. All youth are welcome to join Grove 4-H, December 8 right after school at the Grove Middle School Agriculture Science Building on the south side of the football field, as we celebrate Christmas with the assistance of Grandwood Assisted Living donating the cookies to eat, Rhonda Akers presenting a gingerbread salt dough ornament project, and the opportunity to add our monetary donations to a gift tree for the food bank.
For further information, feel free to call Grove 4-H Leader, Beverly Helms, 786 4646.
