MOSELEY- The 2010 Moseley Tigers Football Team are the ORES Division 1 State Champions. After an 11-1 record for the 2009 season that ended with the State Runnerup Award, Moseley came back strong this year and finished with a record of 11-0 and the gold ball trophy. The 2-year combined record for graduating eighth graders is 22-1.
This season Moseley averaged 42 points per game, while the Tigers only gave up 9 points per game. Three of the starting players had never played competitive football before this season.
At the helm for the Moseley Tigers is Head Coach Jarrod Earp. His coaching staff includes Defensive Coordinator Bobby Williams, Line Coach Austin Graham, and Special Teams Coach Nick Weaver.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month the players chose to wear pink socks. These athletes are aware of challenges and adversity and many of its players have had to deal with a family member who is or had battled the disease.
“I’m very proud of this team, and all of our students,” said Charlene Carter, Superintendent of the Moseley School.
