"font-size: 10pt">MIAMI – Led again by the duo of Tyler Busch and

Trae Fairchild, the Grove Ridgerunners took their first team title

of the golf season with a two-stroke victory in the Miami

Invitational at Peoria Ridge Monday.

"font-size: 10pt">Busch shot a superb three-under 69 to take the

individual title by four strokes. Fairchild finished in third with

a 75.

"font-size: 10pt">The tournament featured 17 teams from Kansas,

Missouri and Oklahoma. Rounding out the top five in the team

standings were; Carl Junction, Mo. (323), Joplin, Mo. (327),

Pittsburg, Kan. (332) and Mount Vernon, Mo. (332).

"font-size: 10pt">In addition to Busch and Fairchild, the rest of

the top five individuals were second place finisher Jon Nichols of

Pittsburg, Kan., who shot a 73, while John Baughman of Carl

Junction, Mo. and Alex Christensen of Nevada, Mo. tied for fourth

with a 76.

"font-size: 10pt">The Ridgerunners’ next tournament will be April 4

at Grove’s own Patricia Island Golf Club, beginning at 9
