The Wyandotte Lady Bears upped their season record to 16-4, with a #12 2A ranking, Tuesday night in a 12-4 win over Welch.

Kourtney Leppla collected the win in six innings of work. The hurler recorded four strikeouts.

Lady Bear Kirsten Leppla put on a clinic at the plate Tuesday night. She ended the game with a 4-4 performance,knocking a triple and two doubles, and five RBIís.

Wyandotte opened the game with a three-hit three-run side. Kirsten Leppla hit an RBI triple to open the dance and teammates Kayla Oleman and Jordan White followed with an RBI double each.

Kirsten Leppla added another RBI to her tally in the bottom of the second with a single that put WHS up 4-0. She added another two RBIís in the fourth with a double and another double in the sixth added another RBI to her tally.

Oleman went 2-3 Tuesday night with two doubles and two RBIís.

The Failrand Lady Owls blanked long-time rival Afton Tuesday by an 8-0 score.

Kortney Kowal picked up the win in the five-inning run-ruled contest. Kowal delivered 10 strikeouts and gave up two hits.

A five-hit, four-run opening side put the Lady Owls in command of the game. RBIís from Jessica Blalock, Katie Hutchison, and Kortney Kowal led to three FHS runs while three AHS errors led to a fourth.

Blalock ended the game with a 3-4 plate showing and two RBIís. Hutchison went 3 for 4 with an RBI, while Kortney Kowal went 1 for 1 with two RBIís. Ashlee Davis was 2 for 4 and Katie Schubert 1 for 2 with a double.

The Lady Owls dropped a pair of close games last Thursday during the rain-shortened Grand Lake Classic in Grove.

The Miami Lady Wardogs slipped by with a 3-0 score. MHS scored all of their runs in the third inning on the power of two hits and two FHS errors.

A three-run sixth inning lifted Oologah to a 4-2 win over FHS in Thursdayís second game. Oologah opened the contest with a first inning run but the Lady Owls scored two in the fifth- Schubert stole home and Hutchison had an RBI single- to take the lead. An two-RBI double in the bottom of the sixth led to a walk-off stolen home base for the OHS win.

The Grove JH softball team posted a 10-0 home win over rival the Jay Lady Bulldogs Tuesday night.

The Grove JH Festival that was scheduled for today has been canceled because of rain.
