Grove's Grand Lake moved up two spots in Bassmaster Magazine's annual ranking of the 100 best bass lakes.

Grand Lake, which hosted the Bassmaster championships in February, was ranked 15th in the recently-released list, up from 17th in the inagural rankings last year.

The magazine compiled the rankings using a multi-step process, beginning with catch rates, population studies and stocking schedules compiled by each state's Department of Natural Resources. From there, the list was sent to B.A.S.S. Nation presidents and conservation directors who ranked the bodies of water based on the tournaments they held. Finally, the list was finalized by Elite Series pros, outdoor writers and industry professionals, as well as 3,500 members of B.A.S.S.

Michigan's Lake St. Clair topped the list, dethroning last year's top lake, Falcon Lake in Texas.

Arbuckle Lake was the only other Oklahoma lake to make the list. The state of Texas led all states with 10 lakes on the list.
