The Grand Lake Y introducing
The Grand Lake Y along with the Independent Baptist Church is excited to offer free lessons on the exciting sport of Pickleball, or if you already play pickleball you can come and play and meet new players. The Independent Baptist Gymnasium will be open for lessons or play from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m. on Tuesdays and from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. Saturdays. The gymnasium is located at 11th and Grand. For a great time, exercise and to learn a fun new sport that the whole family can participate in please join us on one of those days. You only need to dress in athletic clothing and wear tennis shoes we have all of the equipment, if you already have Pickleball equipment feel free to bring yours to use. The great thing about Pickleball is that it can be played by all ages and is a great family activity, and is one of the fastest growing sports in the USA.
The Y hopes to develop enough players to start a competitive league and offer tournaments in the future, but we really want to give people a different activity to maintain or get into shape.
