Key matchups: Both defenses will be looking to shut down powerful running games. Talihina is led by quarterback Jordan Eagleroad, who has 1,875 yards and 29 touchdowns on the ground this season. Kane Owens has chipped in with 1,181 yards and 12 touchdowns. Colcord will be led by the three-headed monster of quarterback Canaan Sherrell and running backs Chris Aguilar and Darwin Davis. Aguilar had 204 yards and four touchdowns last week, while Sherrell added 101 on the ground.
Deciding factor: The Hornets have been more balanced offensively to this point in the season. Sherrell has 1,512 yards and 19 touchdowns on the season, with wideout Rusty James getting 20 yards per catch.
Stratford (9-2) at Afton (11-0)

The winner will face the winner between Carnegie and Crescent in the quarterfinals.
District finish: Stratford – third in A-5. Afton – champion in A-8.
Key matchups: A Stratford defense that has been tough against the run and the pass will try to slow down a balanced Afton attack. Stratford has allowed 104 yards on the ground and 94 yards in the air per game this season, while holding opponents to just over 15 points per contest. Afton is led by quarterback Brennan Fuser, who has 1,525 passing and 668 yards on the ground, and running back/linebacker Matt Wisdom, who has 1,521 yards rushing and 130 tackles.
Deciding factor: Afton has had a penchant for big plays on defense and special teams all season. Wide receiver/defensive back Dusty Henry has led the way, with 10 interceptions on the season, four of which he has returned for touchdowns.
