I am glad to know some of the folks are reading my fishing reports. I was fishing at Lake Fork, in Texas, last week and didnít have Internet service, which kept me from sending in a report. Well, I heard about it from several people who said they missed reading a current Grand Lake report. I will try to not miss any reports in the future.
The whites are still on the mid-lake windy points and will be for a short time more. They will move as the water cools a little more. In the mean time throw small spinners or grubs up to the bank.
Last Saturday I fished for bass with Gary Dollahan, of Gene Larew Bait Company. We were testing out the new Salt Flicker bait I have been helping them with. We caught several on the new bait, as well as some with jigs. We had several small keepers fishing the Duck Creek and Drowning Creek areas.
Iím hearing about a lot of crappie being caught, mostly from private docks. I did some crappie fishing from the boat a little this past week and we caught some good black crappie.
Iím back to Lake Fork, Texas, this week trying to catch some big crappie and hopefully the bass of a lifetime.
