Ridgerunner football now selling stadium seats

Grove Public Schools athletic director Will Jones has announced that stadium seats for the upcoming 2011 football season are now available.

Those that purchased seats last season can renew their seats until May 1. After that date, all unreserved seats will be open to the public. Until May 1, only seats that were not sold last season are available to the general public.

The cost for stadium seats is $100 per seat and includes all five home games for the 2011 season.

Miami baseball clinic to be held at Riverview Park Ball Fields

Miami RBI is hosting a Baseball Clinic, Saturday, May 14, 9:30am - 3:30pm at the Riverview Park Ball Fields.

Boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 12 will learn pitching, baserunning, hitting and fielding techniques from former Minnesota Twins Pitcher Matt Carnes.

Cost to attend the Miami Baseball Clinic is $50 per child, and includes a T-shirt and a hot dog lunch from 11:30-1:00pm. All proceeds will benefit the renovation of Miamiís baseball and softball fields. RSVP by May 2. To register or for more information call 918-542-4479.

Miami RBI is a group of concerned citizens raising funds to renovate Miamiís baseball and softball fields. The organization is dedicated to Renewing, Building and Investing in Miami to foster baseball and softball excellence.

Teen Challenge Golf Tournament scheduled

The Second Annual Teen Challenge Golf Tournament will be held at Groveís Patricia Island Golf Club on Friday, May 20 at 1:30 p.m.

The Tournament will support Teen Challenge, an organization that provides youth, adults and families with an effective and comprehensive faith-based prevention or solution to drug and alcohol addiction and other life controlling problems.

The entry fee for the tournament is $80 per person or $400 for a four-person team with a hole sponsor. A complimentary lunch from 12:30 Ė 1 p.m. will be included. Driving range balls are also included and will be available at noon. Hole sponsors without a team are $125. The tournament will be scramble format with a shotgun start. American Red Cross to host golf tournament

The American Red Cross will also be hosting a golf tournament at Shangri La on Friday, April 29. Tee time is approximately 1-1:30 p.m.

The entry fee is $400 per team. Corporate sponsorships are $500, which includes a team of four plus a hole sponsorship. Hole sponsorships without a team are $200 each.

An after party and awards ceremony will be held at Road Hog Saloon after the tournament.
