The Wyandotte Lady Bears (6-2, #20 2A) ended their Christmas break hibernation with a Lucky Seven Conference win at home Tuesday night over the Fairland Lady Owls (1-5) by a score of 67-27.

Wyandotte enjoyed leads of 22-4 at the end of the first quarter and 38-12 at the intermission.

Jessie Stone was the high scorer on the evening netting 23 points for the Lady Bears with four three-pointers. Stone went five of six from the charity stripe.

Rounding out the Wyandotte high scorers were Kayla Oleman, with 10; Morgan Compton, with eight; Alex Lyons with seven; and Kristen Leppla with six.

Emily Shelton was the Fairland high scorer with nine while teammate Ashlee Davis posted four.

The boys contest saw Wyandotte (5-3) take an 86-62 win over the Fighting Owls (2-5).

Derek Durborrow and Zach Butterfield led the Bear scoring with 17 points apiece. Teammate D.J. Burleson added 13.

Fairland had two scorers break the 20-point mark. Jesse Drosche hit 23 while J.C. Morrow landed 22.

Both schools will continue Lucky Seven play this week. Friday will see the Owls hosting Quapaw while Wyandotte travels to Bluejacket.
