Adair Tournament

Behind 22 points from Jared Sloan and 21 points from Taylor Foster the Jay Bulldogs rolled into the finals of the Adair Tournament with a 73-57 win over Caney Valley Thursday night.

The Bulldogs will face the winner of tonight's semifinal between Adair and Chouteau in tomorrow night's championship game. Tipoff is at 8:30 p.m.

The Lady Bulldogs fell to Salina in their semifinal game Thursday. The Lady Wildcats used a 12-4 third quarter to win 46-38 and advance to the championship game where they will face the winner between Adair and Sequoyah-Claremore.

The Lady Bulldogs will face the loser of that game in the third place matchup at 4 p.m. Saturday.

Coca-Cola Classic at Afton

The Colcord Lady Hornets used a strong defensive effort to pull away from Quapaw in the second half and advance to the championship game for the second straight year with a 50-32 win.

Colcord held the Lady Wildcats to 2 points in a decisive 13-2 third quarter and to 10 points in the second half.

Jordan Pike led the Lady Hornets offensively with 16 points while Kindle Spry added 12.

The Lady Hornets will face Oklahoma Union in the championship game on Saturday at 7 p.m. The Lady Cougars, who defeated Colcord last year to win the title, beat Afton 55-35 in the other semifinal game.

The Kansas Comets, the defending champions on the boys' side, defeated Afton handily 57-34 to advance to the championship game for the second straight year.

Corey Cowan led three players in double figures with 14 points for the Comets, who will face Quapaw in the championship game at 8:30 Saturday night.
