Members of the Northeast Oklahoma Board of Realtors hosted their 20th annual fundraiser with proceeds going to area food banks.
Despite the cloudy weather 48 golfers registered and played in the event raising more than $7,000 for food banks stretching from Bartlesville to Tulsa.
There were also numerous sponsors from the community who donating $150 a piece towards feeding the hungry.
The entry fee for the event was $75 which included all 18 holes of golf, breakfast and lunch, as well as numerous goodie bags with take home gifts.
The overall winning team for the tournament took home a free round of golf.
The tournament started at 10 a.m. and ran until about 3 p.m. with lunch being donated by local corporate sponsor Apex.
Dana Lee Thomas from Berkshire Hathaway was instrumental in organizing this event.
Originally, when this event first started one company would organize for the year and it would be picked up by another the following in a round robin fashion.
However recently it has taken the combined effort of the NEOBR.
"Ten years ago we would have been tickled to have $4,000 and now we are pulling in over $7,000," Thomas.
She added those helping to organize the event volunteered their time, so that all of the proceeds could be donated to the various charities.
