Grove's boys team struggled against the Claremore Zebras.

The Ridgerunners fell 63-36 to the now 10-0 Zebras.

Grove had trouble making their way to the basket, Claremore's 6-4 Layton Hartloff made sure to take up as much space in the lane as he could, along with blocking as many shots has he could.

The Ridgerunners managed to score eleven, but the Zebras scored 18, ten of which came from Hartloff.

The second quarter is where Grove had the most trouble. The only points the Ridgerunners scored was a two pointer from Dillan Miller. Claremore racked up 16 between six different players.

After the break, Grove came back with a fire. The Ridgerunners scored 14 points, but Claremore made five three pointers to end the quarter 53-27.

The final quarter saw Grove rack up nine points and Claremore's bench scored ten.

Grove's scoring was led by Chat Hayes who had eight, Miller who had seven and Tommy Horton who had six.

Claremore was led by Hartloff who scored 14, Gunner Hall who had 12 and Jeff Oxford who had eleven.

Next up for the Ridgerunners is Coweta. The 3-7 Tigers defeated Skiatook (74-38), Glenpool (73-38) and Siloam Springs (55-46).

Despite their record, the Tigers have five players to watch out for: Gavin Underwood, Andrew Keathley, Braden Norris, Hayden Kennon and Cameron Borens. Underwood, a 5-8 junior guard, leads the way with over one hundred points this season. Close at his heels is 6-7 sophomore post, Keathley who has over ninety points, followed by 6-0 junior guard Norris, who has accrued over eighty points this season. Seniors Kennon (6-4, post) and Borens (5-9, guard) both have over thirty points.
