Donald Trump's victory is a mirror on America. It shows us something about ourselves as a country. Not everyone, certainly. He has won a minority share of the votes of the nation's minority political party. But that was enough votes to effectively secure the Republican nomination for president, and more than enough to reveal truths about large swaths of Americans that were not so apparent a year ago.
