Olive Susie Adeline Montgomery of Oklahoma City, died Friday, March 11, 2011, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City.  She was 89.

Olive was born September 25, 1921, in Pawhuska, Okla., to Hursel and Thelma (Seeds) Turner.

She married Raymond Clyde Montgomery on December 23, 1941, at the First Christian Church in Miami, Oklahoma.  He preceded her in death on November 25, 1991.  Following their marriage they resided in Miami where she was a homemaker, and active in PTA, Cub Scouts and Home Demonstration Club (Extension Homemakers Club).  They relocated to Viburnum, Missouri in 1972 where she was a member of the First Baptist Church, remained active in Extension Homemakers Club and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 100, where she held office as the Worthy Matron.  After retiring in 1985, they moved back to Miami in 1990.  During the following years in Miami she was a member of Bethany Christian Church and was a volunteer with the Integris Baptist Regional Health Center Auxiliary, serving as a board member, receiving a 10,000 hour service award, and Volunteer of the Year in 1998.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Dorothy Nelson; and brother, Charlie (C.L.) Utter.

Survivors include two sons, Ed Montgomery of Oklahoma City and Chuck Montgomery of Mulvane, Kansas; sister, Betty Rowland of Grove and brother, John Utter of Owasso; five grandchildren, Jason Montgomery of Bristow, Virginia, Amy Montgomery of Brooklyn, New York, Tiffany Walker of Oklahoma City, Chas Montgomery of Mulvane, Kansas, Joel Montgomery of Manhattan, Kansas; and three great-grandchildren, Caleb, Joshua, and Jacob Montgomery of Bristow, Virginia.

Funeral Services will be Friday, March 18, at 2 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at the G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami.

Pallbearers will be Jason Montgomery, Chas Montgomery, Joel Montgomery, Matt Walker, Perry Montgomery and David Montgomery.
